Graduates

More than 1,600 students who have attained senior status by the start of the Spring 2023 semester will walk across the stage on Sunday, May 21 to be recognized for their academic and personal accomplishments. Graduating seniors must have earned the required 22 credits to receive a high school diploma.

Sunday’s graduation ceremonies are scheduled at the Sioux Falls Arena as follows:

Jefferson High School 11 a.m. 
Roosevelt High School 1:45 p.m.
Washington High School 4:30 p.m. 
Lincoln High School 7:15 p.m.

Students who attend alternative programs at Axtell Park and earn 22 credits receive their diplomas from one of the four traditional high schools and may attend that ceremony.

Class of 2023 Highlights:
501 students are recognized as Regents Scholars by the South Dakota Department of Education
285 students are members of the National Honor Society
168 students are recognized as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars by the College Board
17 students are National Merit Finalists
519 students are Presidential Education Award Winners
210 students have earned the Advanced Placement Capstone Award

DVDs and Blu-rays of each ceremony, with the exception of any copyrighted musical performances, are available for purchase from the Community Relations Department at IPC. Each ceremony will be shown in its entirety on KLRN-TV, Your Sioux Falls Classroom Connection (Midcontinent Channels 20 & 595) during the coming weeks.
