Washington High School was the final stop of the Education Foundation's Public School Proud award tour! Congratulations to Bryan Aukerman for receiving $1,290 for his proposal, “A More Metacognitive Consideration of Media, Media Bias, and Valid Research Through Ad Fontes Media Bias Chart," and Allison Smith for receiving $1,999.96 for her grant, “Backyard Brains Toolkit.”

In total, the Education Foundation awarded 54 Public School Proud Grants to 88 educators throughout the Sioux Falls School District. The total dollar amount of grants awarded was just shy of $120,000! A record amount for the Foundation!

We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the Education Foundation's Executive Director, Allison Struck for all the hard work she put into making the Public School Proud grant season one of the biggest yet! Additionally, we would also like to thank the Education Foundation board members and the community partners and business leaders who helped with the distribution of awards and support the Foundation and our Public Schools consistently!
