It's been a busy week of field trips, school carnivals and outdoor field days! Trips to parks, special events, even trips to the Great Plains Zoo! Schools across SFSD are wrapping things up for the 2022-23 school year. Just one more day until summer vacation!

We have another Workzone Awareness Billboard Contest winner! Caylee McCkay's design urging caution in construction zones will be on display on I-29 off the Madison/Colman exit. To make things even more special, this design comes from the same Sonia Sotomayor classroom as Annika Kimber's, who won her own billboard artwork display just one month ago! Congratulations to this classroom of talented 4th graders!

The Aviation program at the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Academy recently received a grant which allowed for the purchase of three, brand new, state-of-the-art flight simulators which rival the best anywhere in the state, including at college institutions. At an event on Wednesday, we celebrated the community partners of that program and allowed our Gold Card members (community members 60+ with interest in our schools) access to see and hear how it all works! 2023 Washington High School Graduates recently took a "grad walk" through the hallways of Anne Sullivan Elementary! Many of these graduates attended this school, and now they are inspiring future Warrior grads to achieve greatness! https://youtu.be/2NbgIjqO-1c
On Monday evening, SFSD held an honoring ceremony for its Native American students who are graduating from 8th grade and from High School.
